Why is it so difficult to stick to a diet? We start out very motivated and usually do great to stay on a diet the first day, but then the day after that is harder. It is very difficult to stay motivated enough to stay on a diet day after day.
Many fad diets are complicated and hard to follow, but the worst part about dieting is being hungry. Low calorie diets are the hardest to stick with because dieters on low calorie diets are always hungry. Nobody wants to go through life being hungry.
Life often gets in the way of good intentioned dieting. There are parties to attend, food brought into the office, and friends invite you to dine out. When you are on a diet, there seems to be constant advertising about food on television.
When you are on the go and have a busy life, it is hard to stick to a diet. Fast food is certainly not on most diets, and very few fast food restaurants serve low calorie food.
The best kind of diet is one which allows you to eat the foods you enjoy in enough quantities so that you feel satisfied. A great diet would show you how to eat in such a way that you actually lose weight without starving yourself.
Eating is one of the most basic pleasures people enjoy in life, and it is hard to resist the temptation of good food. If you really want to lose weight, you must find a way to keep motivated while dieting, and you must find a diet that will allow you to lose weight while eating enough to be satisfied.
